MY GRANDFATHER · PRINT & MUSIC
Joe Azcona Jr.
10/09/39 - 8/21/12
Sheppard Printing. The drums. A story that stays with our family.
My grandfather brought together two worlds that remain part of my work today: print and music. Here we celebrate his life, his work, and the music he shared with his community.
THE PRINTING HISTORY
Sheppard Printing.
Joe owned and operated Sheppard Printing for 23 years before retiring.
The LLC was Accona, but the community knew the business as Sheppard Printing.
Print is part of my family history. Through Michael Azcona Productions LLC, that connection continues in the design and work we bring to print today.
LOCAL MUSICIAN · DRUMMER
A life with rhythm.
Born in Dallas, Joe began playing drums at 17 and performed with several groups, including The Jokers. He also spent more than seven years in the Air National Guard Marching Band.
Our family photographs preserve that side of his life: Joe behind the drums.
